EPS Recycling System

J-EPS Recycling®:
a pioneering recycling technology by Pana-Chemical

j-eps_logo.png

EPS is our Past, Present, and Future

This company, which began as a distributor of chemical materials for Matsushita Electric Works (now Panasonic Corporation), witnessed the vast quantities of expanded polystyrene (EPS) that were being discarded at Tsukiji Market, and set up a circular recycling system that, over the years, has grown to dominate 80% of the national market and processes 30,000 metric tons a year.
The recycling system, in which EPS is heated and compressed into ingots, and for which we were named one of the leading recyclers in Japan, is a method original to Japan, and receives high praise even overseas. We call it “J-EPS Recycling,” and it continues to be part of the foundation that underpins the global plastic resource recycling industry.

A stable supply of EPS blocks, sourced from a loyal supply base cultivated over decades.

ana-Chemical’s EPS recycling operation began at the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo in 1978. It was the first of its kind in Japan. We were providing recycling machines and collecting the compressed EPS blocks from the very beginning. Our supply base took decades to cultivate and allows us to provide a stable supply of recycled plastic. Please consult us if you are considering using resource plastic.
